I keep seeing on the internet, when it comes to setting up a wireless network and there is concern for security… I hold seeing the possibilities “password/encrypt” and mac filtering. These two are always listed as although they have been mutually exclusive alternatives. Are they? Or can you do both simultaneously for added security?

  5. When you turn MAC address filtering, the devices with MAC address you have included in the list can not connect to your network, even if they know the password.
    And it does not have any link to password which will be asked from all the devices that are going to connect to your network (except those MAC addresses you excluded)
