Works as expected, but not well built,
Purchased this item as a lightning deal, $3 off. It’s a pretty simple device, if it works it works, and it does. If I had not had the discount I would have purchased a plug in adapter with full sized USB socket(s) and just used the cables that came with my devices. For $7, it’s just fine.
Update, 11/6/2011
Went to use the car charger today, the screw retainer that holds the silver tip in place had fallen off. Found all the loose pieces (tip, retainer and fuse) in my center console, and put the sucker back together. It now works again. I may glue the retainer in place. I’m dropping my review to three stars because of this.

Stopped working after about 4 months of use! I even tried it on our other car and it still doesn’t work. I did not drop it or anything. Used it to charge a samsung galaxy s2. Phone charges fine with its original charger. I thought it would be a good product because it carries Amazon’s name.. Apparently not.

|Speaking of copycats, has anyone seen the new windows phone lineup from HTC? That is TRULY a case for the court. Dissapointed in HTC! And to brag about it’s uniqe design is totally BS!!! It seems like everyone is in the copying industry these days, but HTC does it so obvious that it’s just pathetic! My new phone will probably be either Lumia 920 or Galaxy Note 2. I love to be creative with my photos so both would work great for me. Lumia 920 looks amazing though.. tough choice! :/

I wouldn’t say that Nokia is behind, they are more focused on design these days, but the hardware is great, not lagging behind the cometition at all. The screen & camera on Lumia 920 is currently the best out here. So i disagree with you there.
Every company KNOWN TO Man mislead their customers in some way or another. Apple has been doing it for yrs starting with the PC vs Mac debate ads. I’m so glad to see that the whole ” Macs don’t get virus” agruement has been solved ever since this yr is when people discover “OH, Yeah” Macs are under the hound, PC too so they can get viruses too. Not to mention the Siri ads which in the REAL World doesn’t work that well POEPLE. Cut Nokia a break
i don’t care about the ad. i only care about the phone. the phone is beautiful and the OIS is in the phone. that’s all that matter.
Everyone gives Nokia crap because they decided to commit suicide.
First they trash a 1 billion dollar investment (meego), then they are 2 years late to the modern smartphone race, and when they do come, they have the hardware competition had last year.
Nokia is expected to lead the market (like it used to), not follow it years later!

At first when the ad was running I thought the part was that neither of them were watching what’s right in front of them, the guy riding the bike was only using one hand, and neither of them were wearing helmets or any other safety equipment.
So it was a disappointment when the only problem was that they did what every other company does in their ads, phones, makeup, whatever.

LOL @ the Nokia commercial. ALL other companies does this in their marketing. It does not specifically say “Shot with Lumia 920″, it is just an illustration of stable and not stable video. Though the intention is ofcourse that people should think its shot by the Lumia even though they don’t specifically say so.
So funny that they didn’t notice the reflection!! Haha
