Question by Jennifer: How do the “compass” apps for Andoid and iphone cell phones function? Do they use GPS for direction?
Do the cell phones really have an internal magnetic compass? If so, will the magnets in cell telephone belt holsters hurt them? Do the holster magnets have any other ill affects on cell phones?

I believe there is an actual magnetic compass inside of the iPhone. I have a pouch for my iPhone that has a magnet and it has in no way broken any of my iPhones (3G, 3GS, and four).

Perfect Holster for the Phone, but no room for a case,
I bought this case to go along with my Motorola Razr Maxx. It fits like a glove, and although I view the claim of it being “heavy duty” with a small bit of disbelief, it does stand up to a certain amount of punishment. the inside is padded and smooth, designed not to scratch the face of your smartphone, and the side walls stretch enough to remain pliable while still providing a snug fit. I would have preferred to see the rivets provided for the belt clip also used to secure the nylon to itself, for added durability, but it does the job.
I have owned the holster for 3 months now, and while I have had a few unfortunate accidents using the clip, the fixed nylon straps do allow for a more controlled wear, though again I would caution buyers to beware of the fact that the nylon straps are only double stitched in, so consistent use in that respect will probably wear the holster out fairly quickly. The best fix I’ve found so far is to use the metal belt clip, but use a small carabiner and a piece of 550 cord to tie a safety strap to the D ring provided on the holster. That way, if you grab at your phone in a hurry and the holster comes with it, it and the phone will catch on the way to the floor.

|Poorly Made, Fell Apart, Seller Refuses to Replace it,
While this case appears to be very heavy duty, the stitching on the belt clip/belt loop began pulling loose within two weeks of extremely light use. I waited a while, hoping that the ripping would not continue. Within several months the ripping had continued until the holder was attached to the belt clip/loop combination by a thin strip of woven nylon material and five stitches. Contacted the Seller. Absolutely refused to stand behind their product. The case is a very snug fit for a galaxy S2 with otter box defender cover. Other than the belt clip/loop, the case is heavy duty and provides significant protection for the phone as well as having a velcro flap fastener. Ever wonder about having a magnetic fastener right next to your computer/cell phone? Why take the risk, I prefer velcro. Overall, this is a great holder with a lousy method of attaching the clip/loop section, but what use is a holder if you can’t trust it not to finish ripping loose.

This awesome product looks fantastic and, when worn with the belt loop, can be configured horizontally or vertically. I finally found something inexpensive that won’t fall apart and fits my iphone 4 that’s in a permanent case. The clip is metal – not plastic – and will not break. The picture doesn’t show the (plastic) clip on the flap so your phone can be secured while you do cartwheels.

Honestly I have no idea if it would fit or not. I still haven’t handled the SR22 yet but I worry that it might be a bit too long for this holster style. Not sure if Bulldog makes a larger size or not??

Actually you should really look at the Kel Tec 3AT in .380 it’s only minimally larger than the 32 and 380 is a better round. I bought the 32 back before the smaller pocket sized 380s hit the market

Kel Tec 32 ACP (I bought this long before 380s were available in such small sizes) The 32 served me well but has been retired from use as I’ve upgraded several times since it’s purchase
